National Day against Human Trafficking

12th National Day against Human Trafficking and transformation is also mentioned in Dailekh, under the leadership of government and non-government organizations based in the district. In that day celebration, various awareness slogans were performed in Dailekh Bazaar, whereas the interaction program was held in the hall of Narayan Municipality.

Assistant District Advocate Kausal Prasad Dhungana was facilitated by the Interactive Program related legal system and implementation procedure regarding Human Trafficking and Transformers. He had informed about the legal arrangement, punishment and the new Criminal Code Act, 2074. In the interaction program, the participation of the local level government (elected body) has committed to provide justice to the victims based on the right and truth, against the violence of women and children.

Chief District Officer, Laxmi Prasad Baskota, who was also chairman of District committee against Human Trafficking and transformation, said that civil society, public representatives and general citizens should be aware about the new law in order to effectively implement the law. He argued that human rights should be protected from community level and should be aware to be protected.  The program was host by coordinator of Bal help line Rama Shrestha, organized by the District committee against Human Trafficking and transformation, supported by Narayan Municipality Dailekh, District Coordination Committee Dailekh and Social Service Center (SOSEC) Nepal
