World against Child labor Day Celebrated in dailekh

– Making people aware about not using the child as a labor, World against Child Labor Day is celebrated with various educational program in Dailekh. Play card was displayed in local Ganesh Chowk of Dailekh Bazaar including in different village councils and municipalities of the district. It was displayed with the aim of successful campaign against child labor which was also attended by the youth working in various fields.

Child care, stopping child abuse , preventing child from being labor, protect and honor children rights, children cannot be used in hotel and industries were some of the messages displayed in play cards. In this occasion the candle was lighten in evening at local devkota chwok. Chief District Officer Bishoraj Neapane was also involved in this one day campaign. “Including headquarter and various local levels, all were given awareness of making campaign against the child labor”, informed Hira singh Thapa, founder of social service center (SOSEC) Nepal Dailekh and member of child welfare committee.

The program organized in the district headquarter was jointly organized by Child Helpline, 1098, district child welfare committee, SOSEC, Nepal Dailekh, and other governmental organization. Due to poverty and lack of public awareness, it has forced children to work on compulsion shows the various studies report. The government has decided to move ahead by making amendments to the rules and laws to make effective campaign against child labor.
