Social Service Center (SOSEC) Nepal, Dailekh through Bal Helpline 1098 is working against violence among children, rescue of vulnerable children and those who are in risk, establishing shelter house with providing counselling, rehabilitation, relief and advocacy support to the children along with their families. The Bal Helpline 1098 was established from FY 073/074 with the support of CCWB, AEIN, and other stakeholders. The purpose of Bal Helpline free number is to provide support and protection for child right within the district and as well as adjoining districts.
Children those are in risk, violence and in any kinds of problems can make call on 1098 to have service and support but the Helpline 1098 was enable only for Nepal Telecom provided cell phone and landline etc. In the day, it was difficult to contact through different other private telecom such as Ncell, Hello, Smart etc. Now, to make it quite easy and effective, the organization has made an agreement with Ncell for the free Bal Helpline 1098 which is handover to Mr. Hira Singh Thapa, president of Social Service Center (SOSEC) Nepal, Dailekh and is operating it from 17th Feb 2019. This will make easy to contact Bal Helpline 1098 from Ncell within 10 districts of Karnali Province of Nepal. The call was used to receive at Kathmandu made from Ncell and other users beside NTC in previous days but through the agreement made with Ncell now the call will be received at Dailekh, for the call made within 10 districts of Karnali Province through Ncell. So, it is kindly informed to all the Ncell users to make a call related to children problems for service and support provided by the Bal Helpline 1098.
